About
Miosha “Yosh” Wagoner is the current Haskell Indian Nations University- TRIO Student Support Services Project Director and a community advocate. Yosh Wagoner is a member of the Diné and Chickasaw Nations. She served as the 2022-2023 Missouri-Kansas-Nebraska (MKN) 3-state chapter President of the Educational Opportunity Association (EOA), as one of the 10 regional associations in the U.S. that form the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). The Council represents TRIO programs nationwide.
She has been actively involved in the Haskell and Lawrence community since arriving as a first-generation college student from the Whitecone, Arizona, and Gallup, New Mexico area in 2004 to play collegiate basketball. Yosh has ten years of experience in administrative and instructional work, including various positions at the Haskell Indian Nations University. Yosh earned an AA in Liberal Arts from HINU in May of 2006, a B.S. in American Indian Studies from HINU in December 2007, and an M.A. in Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution from Baker University in August 2010. Her experiences also include teaching (Vision Quest, Digital Storytelling Leadership, TRIO Success Seminars, and Health, Sport, and Exercise Science courses), at HINU, a former professional trainer (Title Boxing), a TRIO professional conference chair/presenter (MKN), and digital media filmmaker and entrepreneur.
